Fatal error in VB installing WXp SP3 on Mac OSX Lion

Post by Akkhasar »

Good afternoon,

Trying to install Win XP SP3 on a Mac OSX 10.7.4 on my Intel Core i5 4 processors 4 Go 1333 Mhz DDR3
Vdi Size 30 Go and 1Go for Ram allocation
Win Xp has been done with Acronis .iso image seems to me very low sized (50 M0???)
After reading a lot of threads , I didn't find a solution after 2 errors of installation.
I found the time of installation very long.....waiting in front of a black and silencious screen......:2 hours and always the same scheme of error.
I'm trying to increase the video memory allocation in this 3rd trial and waitinG
Please find one of my log hereafter !

Nice to see in log the humor of Oracle developpers, with " GURU meditation " !!

Help will be appreciated
Thanks in advance

Going to need to see the log file, but if you used Acronis and create an image of XP from metal you will need to start the guest in safe mode to change all of the drivers before it will work. Hopefully you imaged the entire drive and not just a partition.

By the way the guru mediation message is really an old message from the commodore, amiga days. Google it.

Thanks for your fast answer i
It seems that my log din't reach you ?? Strange ....
I'm reattaching it.
I was obliged to make my .iso with all my drive because I do not have a boot CD....I have a Sony Vaio + TV with XP preinstalled and hav only a restoration CD and I'm not a Win geek ....Mac user since 1983 !
If you can advise how to make a simple iso, i'll be happy...

For the file I understand ...the file is to big !!! 163 ko and you accept only 128 ....very strict....
I didn't probably saw the warning...I cuted it in 2 parts in rdf refused......
making a .zip ouah..accepted !!

Thanks in adavnce for a new reply !
Best regards

Alan

00:00:19.413 Host RAM: 4096MB RAM, available: 901MB
00:00:19.447 RamSize <integer> = 0x000000003a400000 (977 272 832, 932 MB)

First off you need to free up some host memory. You are assigning more than you have.

The next thing is the Sony viao version of Windows probably is not going to work as it uses very special drivers, not to mention that it is not licensed to run on anything other than the machine it was installed on. That's the reason why you don't have an install CD. Needless to say I can not help you to usurp the license even if I thought you could make it work.

Good morning and thanks again,

1°) For the memory, I have 4 Go available on my iMac, so the log statement is quite strange ?
2°) I never was an usurpator and more, I generally make donation for freeware. Furthermore , I always recognized in my life the value of human labor, and created 7 comapnies in my life...
In my case, my license has been paid by me to M. Sony, who paid M B. Gates and should not be mine, ???

In addition, my Vaio has been programmed by Sony to died within 7/9 years ( prorgrammed obsolecency) and who can understand why I'm not the owner of my car's motor at it's death , even if the motor has been discounted by M. Gates to M. Sony , to arranged their affairs ??

Please, do not consider my answer as a frontal attack against you, because you're a very respectable person  , helping people for free, but only a contestation of the "whole system", which by the way, is dyiing in front of our eyes !!

Best regards
Alan
