Windows 7 Guest OS using 1920x1080 on Windows 7 Host

Post by trappedinside »

I am new to the Virtual Box idea so please forgive me if I am missing something simple.

I have installed the Guest os ( Windows 7 ) fine no problems at all. However I cannot get the screen resolution to what i would like 1920x1080. I have tried installing the latest ATI drivers on the guest but with no results.

Does anyone have any pointers what to look at to fix this ?

Thanks in advance.

What do you get if you use the full screen toggle (host+F)?

And installing the ATI drivers in the guest is a waste of time. The vm cannot see the physical device in the host machine directly, so it has no use for a driver for it.
