Help : VB 4.1.20-80170-Win : uninstall issue ?

Hello all.
I had problems in uninstalling VB 4.1.20 (version in the subject) on Win XP Host 32 bit.
The uninstaller seems to go .. progress bar filling the space ... but neverending !
It simply does NOT end !
Then i had to kill the process of uninstall and i saw that VB disappeared from the list of installed applications.
So i had to go manually removing folder and registry stuff, with the help of a program (Revo Uninstaller), but it left back dirty.
Now, i'd like to remove the "VirtualBox Host-Only Network" adapter from the list of my network connections and to really clean the registry.
Then i'd like to know (just for curiosity) why a stable release happens to behave so badly.
Ok it's free software but that does not mean it should behave like that, in my opinion.
I'd like to try a REAL stable version that does NOT behave like that (it should uninstall for REAL when i click its uninstall link, right ?)
I thank in advance all who helps ppl like me to to solve these problems
and those who help to improve this good looking software ... but still buggy somewhere.
Regards.
