Dear all,
I am using virtualbox on win 7.
I want to establish an RS422 link between two RHEL Nash ver guest systems within virtualbox.
Can anyone kindly give me a step by step procedure to do it.
I am a novice at virtalbox.
Thanks in advance

You could emulate the serial cable by just piping the data over a network. Use something like socat for this.

It doesn't make sense to emulate an RS422 connection because the only difference between that and RS232 is the number of wires and the voltages on the physical cable: you don't have a physical cable so that distinction is meaningless. You will just open a comm port like any app. You should be able to use a pipe to connect two guests.

Kindly tell me how to configure this pipe.

I would think that a glance at the serial ports configuration dialog (in VM settings) would answer that more completely than anything I can type here. That and reading section 3.9 of the user manual.
