VB 4.1.20 + Windows 8 Ultimate + GuestAdditions

Hello,

when I use VB 4.1.20 + Windows 8 Ultimate + GuestAdditions + neccessary 3d acceleration, it causes display flickering in the VM reproducebly
If you switch off 3D acceleration for the VM in VB-settings, it doesn't flicker but it's impossible to Windows 8 then.

So, my question is, do you know this issue? And can you say when the problem will be fixed and the bugfix released?

Wait for one of the next vbox versions. At the moment the win 8 support is not fully integrated.

Or you could try the 4.2 RC2.

Hello,

thanks for the hint. I tried (new vbox + additions) but without any success. Flickering still exists, auto-scaling and seamless mode doesn't work either.

I must say unfortunately no improvement visible so far.

... and btw. the network support doesn't work either.

Please see the existing Windows 8 discussion thread. Further threads will not be allowed until Windows 8 is released, and VirtualBox claims to support it.
