Error when resizing vdi

Post by CApoeirista »

With this command:

Code: Select all

"d:\Program Files\VirtualBox\VBoxManage" modifyhd "d:\My Documents\VirtualBox\Ubuntu 10\Ubuntu 10.vdi" --resize 8000
there is such:

Code: Select all

0%...
Progress state: VBOX_E_FILE_ERROR
VBoxManage.exe: error: Code VBOX_E_FILE_ERROR (0x80BB0004) - File not accessible or erroneous file contents (extended info not available)
Why?

OS: Windows 7 x64

Is the first command literally what you typed? I ask because both the program and data paths are non-standard - VBoxManage path on Windows is c:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox, and the data path should be <userdoc>\VirtualBox VMs\<VMname>. If you mess up the paths then of course some files may not be accessible.

Yes.

That is, if I don't have a standard way, then I can not execute this command? Or do I need to add/correct something (eg: a variable in the "Path")?

My Document's Folder - ''SystemDrive\Users\MyName\.VirtualBox"
