I have installed a Debian guest with a Windows 7 host. I have not been able to the mouse to work at all inside the guest OS. Guest additions are installed.

Any idea how I would troubleshoot this?

Normally the guest will use the hosts mouse (shared resource). Are you trying to add a different mouse?

Post the guests log file (as an attachment)
See Online Users Manual for the location of the file.

No I am trying to use the host mouse. I'm beginning to think this is an issue with Debian as the mouse connects to /dev/input/mice and dmesg shows that the mouse is detected. This is not a huge issue for me as I can just use ssh to connect to the vm and that will give me mouse integration for copy and paste. Thanks for the reply.
