All menus in Windows guest are now blank
I upgraded to VBox 4.1.20 and had problems with repeated crashes of my Windows guest. I finally got it back, but now all the menu windows are blank. The menu opens but has nothing in it or at best a tiny partial icon. Clearly something got corrupted, but I do not know how to get it back. Appreciate any help. Even the start menu is empty and so I can't go to any apps or anything. Thank you Appreciate any help or guidance. I am loathe to reinstall Windows unless there is absolutely no other choice. Thanks

Similar problem! After the upgrade to 4.1.20, the windows desktop opened ok but is completely blank, no more icons on the desktop, no task bar, absolutely nothing.

Re: All menus in Windows guest are now blank
The first problem sounds like messed up graphics acceleration. I would start by making sure the GAs are up to date.
@oldchook: your problem sounds like an incomplete boot (not reaching desktop), hence is in no way similar to the OPs. Start your own thread to discuss your problem.
