minecraft on slitaz 4.0:mouse pointer invisible/disappearing

Hi,

i installed minecraft 1.3.2 on slitaz 4.0 with guest additions 4.1.20 r80170, oracle Java 1.6.0_31 32bit.
Tested hosts: windows XP 32 bit, Mac OSX 10.6.8.
The game starts and is playable... but
Problems:
  • when mouse integration is activated the view ingame gets crazy and jumps around because the mouse pointer gets out of the game window or virtualbox screen.
  • when mouse integration is disactivated the game view is ok, but the ingame menus are not well usable because the mouse pointer is not visible inside the game window so you need to guess where the pointer is located.
My clue is that this is a virtualbox graphics driver issue (i read about it somewhere but cant find the link anymore).

So how can we fix this problem?
Additional data needed?

Thanks for any help!

This seems like the same problem discussed in the 'Discuss the 4.1.20 release' topic. The activities display was constantly being selected when the mouse would move. As long as the mouse didn't move, there was no problem. The problem has appeared in multiple OSs as VM clients and on full installations of Fedora 17 (probably others also) Fedora is working the issue under Bug 852841.

The cuprit was the xorg-x11-servers (xorg-x11-server-common, xorg-x11-server-Xorg, xorg-x11-server-Xephyr) all version 1.12.3-1.fc17.
I downgraded to 1.12.0-2.fc17 and the problem was resolved.

You may want to try this to see if this resolves your issue.

Hey there! Same problem over here, and looking for a viable solution.

Java 7.13
Minecraft Beta 1.7.3
Guest: Windows XP (32 bits)
Host: Ubuntu 12.10 (although Linux Mint 14)
VirtualBox 4.2.6 (using the corresponding drivers)

So, how one would be supposed to do that? The web is in desperate need of success stories. Godson is irritated among others! :D
