Hi,
I have installed virtualbox on windows 7 and i have created Linux(Fedora) VM using it. My VM is created without any issue.
But my problem is if i create any file and save some data on it. If i reboot VM then my file is wiped out after reboot, means my file does not exists after reboot. What to do so that my file is saved permanently and does not get wiped out due to reboot. or power off.

Did you actually install fedora or are you running a live cd?

I am using Fedora-16-i686-Live-Desktop.iso image file which is stored on local disk.

But that can be installed and if you want the things you do to be saved you need to install it.
If you don't install it then nothing will be saved. Well there might be a way but not the proper way.
Installing another OS within VirtualBox does not affect the host system. It installs everything in a single large file.

If you went through the install process and you are still seeing the live user session, you have forgotten to remove the install disk from the virtual CD drive.
Remove it and finish the install process.

After removing install disk from the virtual CD drive, i can see that VM is actually booting and it ask to create new user. I can see now my username, which i have created during first start of VM.
Now my file also survived after reboot.
I would like to give you huge THANKS on helping me on this.
Thanks a lot once again.
