Host ubuntu 12.04
Guest: Windows 7
Virtualbox: 4.1.12
Host shares directory to guest by samba.
In guest, it's very slow to access files shared by Host samba, for example, writing files to the directory from samba.
the virtualbox network mode is NAT. Adapter type is Paravirtualized Network.
I also test other adapter types and no luck.
I did serveral tests:
P4V fetch files from perforce server to the directory shared by HOST samba, network speed is about <100K/s only.
P4V fetch files from perforce server to the directory in virtualbox, network speed is about 6M/s.
copy files from virtualbox to the directory shared by HOST samba directly, network speed is about 40M/s
