Re: Virtual Bridge not working today
Last night I had it set to 200 which is in the DHCP range. I tried that when I first got the server booted up and I am running into the same issues...I have also tried to change the current server to .200 with no luck

Re: Virtual Bridge not working today
So go ahead and click the red x and see what the ip address is given?
If it is in the same subnet and works then you should be able to set it static. If not then the trouble is more than likely in the router.

But if you leave it alone does it get to the Internet?
Check your DNS and make sure that it is working properly and also check your firewall/s

I disabled my firewall and still nothing...Created a new server, turned off both firewalls (I made sure it was connected to a private network) cannot get to the net...Im not just lost at this point. I do not get what could have changed in 24 hours.

Re: Virtual Bridge not working today
Update- I think I got it....In the TCP/IP I had to these changes
IP 192.168.1.100
Subnet 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway=YOUR ROUTER IP 192.168.1.254
Primary DNS=Server IP 192.168.1.254
The problem now is the VM server is handing out IP's instead of my router
I just logged onto my MBP and it has an IP of 192.168.1.110(within my scope) instead of .78 like it did before..
This is what I am trying to accomplish
Router give me the 192.168.1.100 ip for my static virtual server and all my virtual machines use my lease pool 192.168.1.110-192.168.1.120
All of my real devices (MBP, XBOX, phones, Win7 (host) machines etc...) get a real ip 192.168.1.65-100 then 192.168.1.121-.153

Re: Virtual Bridge not working today
You cannot have two DHCP servers operating in the same network. DHCP is a simple minded system which uses broadcasts. The client broadcasts a request and the server replies with an offer. If there are two DHCP servers, they will both make an offer and the client will accept the first one it gets, so it is a bit of a lottery!

Re: Virtual Bridge not working today
Cool that explains it then...I guess I am going to have to expand my lease pool
....I have worked on this problem for almost 12 hours now Time for work tomorrow, thank god I do not have to deal with setting IP's
Is there anyway to accomplish this? having the Virtual Server dish out IP's to the virtual guests? While keeping an internet connection?
