Automatic screen resize no longer working

Post by jyppy »

I have used VirtualBox for close to 1 year now and I love it.

I never had issues with getting the screen resolution of my Windows 7 guest on Mac OSX (10.7.4) adjust automatically to the VB window size (either full sceen on local monitor, external monitor or VB window size)

For some reason, my Windows 7 guest does not adjust screen size anymore (Guest additions 4.1.18 installed).

Any idea what I could do to restore the automatic screen resize? I tried to re-install guest adds... no change :(

Help please

Is auto-resized still enabled? Use the view tab or (host+G) toggle.

happened to me yesterday and thanks to this post I found a "solution"!!!

The designer responsible in deciding to use F and G for the hot keys it is used, should be kicked in his a$$. One is potentially frequently used (F), while the other (G) can be accidentally pressed and cause some surprises to the fat-fingered poor person, most probably NOT knowing the G's function and thus probably spending enormous time in "fixing" broken X, vboxdisplay, kernel modules, or even hypervisor...
