Hi,

I am newbie. I installed the latest oracle virtualbox in my windows 7 machine(laptop). I installed centos 6.2 and latest freepbx software in virtualbox as a guest. I can able to access the internet from host windows using NAT adaptor.

But when i tried to ping the guest from host. I can't able to do it. I have a running webconsole in guest(centos) . I want to access that using the guest ip address from host(windows 7). Please help me out.

Thanks for your time and consideration.

While using VBox NAT in the guest, you probably need to set up port forwarding.
An alternative would be to use Bridged (if you have a router in the LAN), or Host-only so the host and guest can communicate, and add a second virtual adapter set to NAT if the guest needs the Internet.

See Chapter 6 in your VirtualBox users manual.
