Mac OS X on Virtual box can not see Windows 7

Dear all,
I installed Mac OS X 10.7.4 on Virtual Box and Windows 7 together.
On windows 7, I can ping Mac OS X but on Mac OS X, I can not ping Windows 7.
I shared a folder on Windows, on Mac in Finder, I saw Windows machine but can not connect. It prompts a message box like not connect, instead displaying a message box to input user account.
So, I can not share a folder between Win7 and Mac OS.
Does anyone have solution for this issue?

Windows 7 disables ICMP (Ping) by default. No doubt that was the first red herring which led you to believe you had serious problems. In fact I think you only have a minor network configuration problem. The easiest way to get shared folders is to install the Guest Additions into the Win7 guest, then use that to share a host folder.

Thanks but my VirtualBox is running Mac OS X and I can not find any article about installing Guest Additions into Mac OS Guest.

You posted in the "Mac OS X Hosts" forum. I interpreted your message as saying you have installed VirtualBox on a Mac host and have a Win7 guest. Is it actually the other way around?

Ok, I've moved the topic to "Windows Hosts". Unfortunately, if you have a Windows host then it means that your Mac OS X guest can't have a valid license, which means that we can't help you.
