USING VIRTUAL BOX FOR EXPERIMENTS

Hello Gurus,

I am using virtual box 4.16 running on Windows 7 ultimate 64bit edition .I using virtual box to experiments . THe problem i encounter i have to create a new virtual machine every time i experiment new things , so i want to know how to have a ready made virutal box , for example if i want work on linux host ,and later with solaris how can i achive that.To be precise about my question is , how to use single virtual machine n number of times .

Cloning.
Create an original and clone it. Save the original and never actually use it for your experiments, just make another clone of it if you need to start again.
Some may say to use snapshots but be warned, they are fragile and your original could be broken if the tree gets messed up.
