No connection with server

I have a notebook with Ububtu installed and a MacbookPro with Mountain Lion.
With both systems I can reach files on my network Win7 server.
Both notebooks have Oracle VB installed with WinXP running.
On the Ububtu/XP machine I can manage all files on the server.
However, this doesn't work on the Mac/XP machine: access denied.
As far as I can see all network settings are the same.
What can be the problem??

Sorry, there is nothing to say without facts. The only info we have is "does not work".

Please provide the log files from both host/guest machines.
