My host OS is OS X 10.7.4. I'm using Virtualbox 4.1.18 r78362.
My guest is Windows 7 Pro x64, SP1.
I initially installed the OS with only one core enabled on the VM. After seeing slow build times of some software, I enabled 4 cores on the VM. I reinstalled the guest additions, software builds much faster now. But now, I am seeing some odd errors when I try to copy some files from a network drive to my VM. Bumping the number of cores back down to 1 stops these errors. Additionally, going to a bare metal desktop with the same OS as the VM, these errors do not appear.
Are there additional settings in Virtualbox that I should look at? Or does Windows just not handle the random additions of more cores to the OS?
thanks
