Disk Resized but not showing on MAC OS X

Post by stevenf »

Hi all,

I had 20GB on my Mac OS X VM with 19GB left before I resized it.

I have now resized it to 100GB and the operation was successful and I can see that it has resized.

My problem is that when I run IOS X VM it's still showing the old disk space and not the new.

It there something that I've forgotten or is this normal?

Thanks

StevenF.

Increasing the disk size does not make the original partition larger. You need to extend the partition to take the new space provided.

I mean to extend the original partition on the VM. Use a partition manager or what ever you use on a Mac.
