I am running a Windows 7 64-bit Bootcamp partition as a guest in VB 4.1.18 on OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) (I created a 'raw vmdk' as per the manual). Mostly things are working okay but the VM repeatedly stalls for long periods (can be minutes) and then carries on. Any suggestions for diagnosing/fixing this? I'd really like )(need) to get this setup working in a stable fashion. Machine is MacBook Pro Retina.

I should add that when I boot the partition directly and run it 'native' there are no problems at all. Guest additions are installed. No Video acceleration enabled.
