I was running Windows XP on my early 2011 13 inch MacBookPro. I was running the Virtual machine, and i was running aswMBR.exe (avast rootkit scanner) on the virtual machine. While it was scanning I got an error on my mac showing an animated picture in the top left hand corner of a meditating guy and it said that the virtual machine had encountered a critical error and should be closed. I had just scanned the virtual hard disk file with ESET Cybersecurity and am CERTAIN that there were no viruses on it. I just want to know what happened and if it will affect my Mac.

Post the VM log file (as a zipped attachment), otherwise we'd be speculating in the dark.
