Solaris 10 Guest Can't browse the internet on Window 7 Host

Post by jabbok »

I have a solaris 10 guest (powered by Virtualbox 4.1.18.0) on a Window 7 host. I have an internet connection on the host (Window 7) via a USB CDMA modem. How can I share this same internet connection with the guest (Solaris 10)?

I need help

Set the guests network settings to use VBox NAT.

@ Perryg,

Thanks for the reply. The guest network setting is on NAT by default, yet I can't access the internet on the Solaris VM

Was the setting set to NAT upon installation? If not you will more than likely need to re-configure the Solaris network.
Most find it easier to run sys-unconfig or a reconfigure boot instead of editing all the files. Consult your Solaris documentation for details.
