Loading CentOS6.2 on VirtualBox4.1.18

I am running the latest VirtualBox on a Windows7 Host with an Acer Aspire R3610 (Atom CPU 330@1.6GHz. I've successfully operated with CentOS5.x but when I try to load CentOS6.2-32bit, I get the following error message:
"Unable to boot - please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU".
I've tried to set the configuration to PAE, but this does not work either.
I've tried the same setup on a more powerful CPU, Gateway DX4300, and it works flawlessly. So it seems to have something to do with the Atom CPU.
Has anybody had a similar problem and found a solution?

From the hosts terminal/command window type VBoxManage showvminfo <VM Name> --details and post here. Replace <VM Name> with the actual name of the VM. Use " " if the name has a space in it.

Note if the host is Windows you need to be in the directory that has VBoxManage.exe for the command to work.
