I need to fake CPUID in guest os, I can do it in vmware through editing vmware config file (winxp.vm or sth else) and adding this : cpuid.1.eax = "XXX" to config file. But I do not know how to do it in virtualbox, I checked the vitrualbox config file : winxp.vbox and fount it a xml file but do not know how to edit it. Could someone give me a help ? Thanks a lot.

Why? The chance that this will help anything is pretty low...

Intel slows down AMD CPUs when the app is compiled with the Intel C++ Compiler. Maybe he tries to workaround this issue and let the Vm think he runs a Intel CPU.
