How can I make my guest (Windows 7) have it's 'Sleep' option active?
The host is also Windows 7 (x86).

Not required. Suspending the VM is available as a VirtualBox feature (just hit the VM window close button, choose the appropriate close option).
Be aware that many VM problems have as their root cause people manipulating the VM in indirect ways while the VM is suspended instead of properly shut down. Examples of indirect manipulation would be, upgrading the VirtualBox software, copying the VM (between hosts, or making backups), deleting an ISO image that's still mounted, deleting or renaming a shared folder, etc. Frankly I prefer to take that extra 10 seconds to shut apps and the VM down properly.

Thank you for your quick response.
I develop a driver for windows and I need to debug a problem that causes the system to crash when the system is "going to sleep". So, I need some method to tell me driver that the system is going out of S0 power state. Any ideas?

I'm afraid not. You'd probably be better off asking that sort of detailed technical question on the
developer mailing list.
