Win 7 Resume - No windows/menu

Post by mcfip »

90+% of the time I get no windows when I resume my windows 7 guest.

I run the win 7 guest OS in "seamless" mode.

When it comes out of suspend ("saved state"), the menu bar and any active windows do not appear. If I switch from seamless to to fullscreen or scaled mode, I see everything. Switch back, nothing (occasionally switching back fixes the issue). Most of the time, I need to shutdown the OS and restart the guest.

When I click on the virtualbox guest "application" box in the panel (the linux panel that shows all running applications) I see the maximization of the window (the boarder - rectangular black line - opens up) but nothing else. Click again and I see the boarder minimize.

CentOS: 6.3 (Final)
Linux kernal: CentOS: 2.6.32-279.2.1.el6.x86_64
Virtualbox: 4.1.18 r78361
Virtualbox extensions loaded/installed.
Installed guest additions

Anyone have any thoughts what is causing this?
Thanks,
Mike
