Hi,
I want to install VM on an external hard drive, I have tried the installation and created new vm but when it opens is looking for CD/DVD to install the OS / How do I change that to make the vm install the OS from the Internal HDD?

How do I change that to make the vm install the OS from the Internal HDD?
Do you mean to select an install iso that you have on your hard drive? Select to mount it in the storage section of the guest settings to the virtual CD.

I want to install it on the external hard, eg: if I bought another computer I can just contect the external HDD and use the VirtualBox with everything on it, so my computer will be as a screen only and the external HDD is the one that got VirtualBox installed and inside the VirtualBox my softwares, documents etc.

Thanks

You can install the guest to the external HDD but the program must be on the PC not the external drive.
To do this when you create a new guest you have a choice to store it in the default location or you can tell VirtualBox to create it on the external HDD.
This should happen in the first run wizard. You just need to go slow and read. It will ask you there.
