Who knows how to solve the problem. Put it on the Ubuntu virtual machine and set the dynamic capacity of 8GB hard drive, over time, this was not enough volume, and increased it by

Code: Select all

VBoxManage modifyhd natty.vdi --resize 12000
The virtual machine saw the changed size, but she Ubuntu still shows that the system 8GB. Tell me how to fix this problem so as not to reinstall Ubuntu?

Use gparted to change the partition size.

Note that resizing the hard disk does not work if you used snapshots: those would have to be deleted first. But don't worry, if anything goes wrong you can always restore to that backup you made before attempting anything this radical...

OK. Just increase the partition size. The OS looks at the partition, not the drive. It cannot see the extra space until you increase the partition size.
