I am having trouble with my integrated mouse on a Windows 7 guest system. When I click with the mouse, two mouse clicks (double-click) are sent to the OS. I Spied on a Notepad++ window with the Visual Studio tool Spy++ and verified that two WM_MOUSEDOWN messages are being sent. This is driving me crazy. Any help would be appreciated.
Attempted fixes so far:
Disable, Enable mouse integration.
Upgrade TO 4.1.18. The behavior was ocurring on previous version of VirtualBox
Reboot
Shutdown (cold boot)
Install Guest Additions (upgrade)
Configure Mouse double-clik settings

Re: VirtualBox 4.1.18 on Win7 always double-clicks
This is not the way the mouse click works for me. I would investigate the guests setting to see what has been set to enable a DBL click. Other than that I would suspect the mouse actually DBL clicking itself is it has some age on it. I know I have to change mine every year due to the number of clicks I put it through. Seems to be a common issue with the left mouse button and that is is used so much. One other thing might be if you made a mistake and installed specific mouse drivers in the guest. Virtual guests need to use the virtualizer mouse drivers.

Argh. I thought I vetted the mouse on the host OS but I guess the mouse was just sketchy enough for the problem to reveal explicitly on the Guest OS.
Resolved. Hardware issue.
