Resolution questions WinXP VM

The standard resolution on my laptop is 1600x900

I installed a WinXP Pro SP3 VM.
But I can not get a larger screen than 1024x768 on the WinXP whithout getting scroller bars !?
I want as large screen as possible on my VM, isnt it possible to get it larger ?

Install the guest additions (in the guest OS).
