Logitech C270, cam always in use by another app (XP and 7)

Hi,
I get this new webcam, Logitech C270, but I can't get it to work with Virtualbox (latest version). My host is Mandriva 2010.2 and the guests can be Windows XP SP3 or Windows 7 Home Basic.
When I plug the camera for the first time, it's recognized and the drivers are installed. The image appear, in XP the quality is not good, but in 7 it's nice. The problem appears after that, when I try to open any application that use the cam (Skype and Live Messenger). They say that the cam is in use by another application, can't detect the mic or the cam itself, no matter what I try.
I tried to remove everything installed by Logitech, letting Windows XP and 7 install only the drivers by themselves, but the problem remains.
The webcam runs perfect in Windows 7, in the same PC, but outside the VM.
Can anyone help me? I need the cam to chat with friends and family. Booting in Windows just for that is not the best solution, since I do all my work in Linux.
Thank you.
