Increase resolution running Kubuntu in VB

Hi,

I wonder I can increase the resolution from 1024x768 to 1440x900 when running Kubuntu in VB on a Macbook Pro. There's no Xorg.conf in /etc/X11 and running Xorg -configure gave me a xorg.conf.new in /home/XYZ.

Any ideas?

You would get better performance by installing the guest additions (in the guest) which will let you have what ever the resolution the host has.

Thank you for your reply -- I did that already. Still, the system does not offer 1440x900 (but 1440x1050, which does not work).

Do you see black bars around the window in full screen mode?

Remember that true full screen can *only* be enabled using the (host+f) toggle

Yes, indeed, it's all black around in full mode.

Then the guest additions are not installed properly on the guest.
