VM fails to load saved state if a Shared Folder is missing

Post by alllala »

Hi there,

I think i found a bug in Virtualbox 4.18.
If you try to start a VM in a saved state and one of the shared folder is linked to a folder in the Network and it´s not accessible, then the VM loads to 100% only to fail.
ERROR [COM]: aRC=E_ACCESSDENIED (0x80070005) aIID={5eaa9319-62fc-4b0a-843c-0cb1940f8a91} aComponent={Machine} aText={The object functionality is limited}, preserve=false

Yes, that's how it behaves, but it isn't a bug.

Did previous version of Virtualbox behave the same way?
I believe that it is new. In the Past i was able to start a VM even if the Network location was not accessible.
