today i installed fedora 17 on virtual box (windows host) and i installed the guest additions, everything installed okay but i only have five resolution options. 800x600 1024x768 1280x960 1440x1050 1600x1200, nether are my native res. how can i get the resolution to go to 1152x864? also my mouse on the linux guest randomly blinks and sometimes just disappears.

If the guest additions are installed properly you can adjust the size with a mouse click and drag or (host-f) toggle to go to full screen.

when i go full screen the guest window stays a small box. when i was running linux mint on it i could select 1152x864 and it would be full screen. but in fedora it doesn't have that resolution option. i've reinstalled the guest additions 3 times already.

This means that the install did not work properly. Post the /var/log/vboxadd-install.log from the guest.
