Can't get USB printing to work (NOW FIXED)

Hi,

I am running VirtualBox 4.1.18 r78361 and 4.1.18 Extension Pack on Mac OS X 10.7.4 I am running a Windows 7 64-bit guest and have latest guest additions installed.

I am trying to print to an OKI c5100n printer from the Windows guest, because there is no OS X driver for this printer. I have USB 2.0 enabled in VB settings for the guest OS.

However, no matter what I try I cannot get this to work. Windows detects the USB device, but fails to load the drivers properly.

Immediately after Windows loads, there's a bubble comes up with an error saying "Device not recognised. One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned" and I get an "Unknown Device" in the USB section of Device Manager.

On further inspection it says "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"

No printers show up in W7 client and I cannot manually load the OKI printer driver for the unknown device (which doesn't surprise me as I think it's the USB driver that's not working.)

Please does anyone have any idea what's gone wrong and how to fix this?

EDIT: Don't know why it wasn't working, but I kept messing and trying different things and detaching and re-attaching the device in VBox and suddenly it has worked. Windows has detected the USB device as being an OKI printer and I can now load the OKI drivers and it works :-)
