Linux Guest on Windows Host not Finding Network Printer

I'm running Lubuntu on a Windows 7 host with the network in bridged mode. The utility finds the network printer, but cannot connect or communicate with it. I was using the very same virtual machine under Windows Vista with another PC. I just moved it to the new PC with W7 and possibly a new version of VB. It used to work before, now it doesn't. I can't figure it out.

Thanks,
Grunge

I suspect you need to reconfigure your guest to find a different printer, different server name etc. I.e. you have Linux guest network config issues.

Because of this I'm moving your Q to "Linux Guests".

Thanks for your help, but I'm not sure why you moved the post. The very same Linux guest VM worked properly under Vista and now when moved to W7, it doesn't work. Also there was a VirtualBox version change involved.

I explained that above: I moved this topic because the ensuing discussion will be about how to properly configure the networking features of a Linux guest - a discussion people will not expect to find in the "Windows Hosts" forum. I mentioned several things that can change when you change hosts - they all may require corresponding config changes in the guest, hence the anticipation of a guest config discussion.
