windows xp guest does not fit to screen

hi,
installed windows XP on virtualbox running on windows 7.
However, the windows does not fit to monitor, also, in full screen mode does not fit to monitor

The picture tells us nothing I'm afraid, except that you have the guest additions CD still mounted in the VM.
Try this: start the VM, inside the guest OS use explorer to browse the CD, and manually run the "VBoxWindowsAdditions.exe" file. See if that changes the behaviour of the VM.

I'm very new to this.
thier is no CD in a drive should I delete that?. Where can I find the vBoxWindowsAdditions.exe?

On the contrary, the picture you posted shows an ISO file (VBoxGuestAdditions.iso) in your virtual CD drive. This would typically show up as the contents of drive D: or E: inside the guest. Don't unmount it, just do what I said in the previous message (i.e. boot the guest, inside the guest browse to drive D: or E:, whichever one is present in the folder tree, and look at the disk contents. You'll see the exe file there. Double click it to run it. Make sure to choose the right one).
