Is it allowed to sell VDI images?

Depends on the image

In my case, a system with exactly two appliances:

1. An appliance with an empty machine and an empty disk image and an empty floppy.
2. An appliance with an Ubuntu installation, value added by the configuration I produce of user accounts, daemons, and other knowledge.

I haven't grokked the restrictions on the user extensions .iso yet, I'll read through all the administrative stuff again after I have the technical solution on solid ground.

The instructions that I provide will instruct the user to download VirtualBox from the official web site. I could distribute VirtualBox on a USB stick, I just figure the less I distribute, the fewer administrative documents I have to review.
