4.1.18 has strange artifacts on Win 7 Aero
See attached image capture. This is the result of dragging the window. Moving the mouse over anything also generates the artifacts. Only when Aero is enabled and an Aero theme is chosen. The same problem happens on Windows 8 RC and Windows 2012 RC.
Anyone know how to fix this or encounter this too?

I never tried Aero on 4.1.16 or earlier. I did have Windows 8/2012 on 4.1.16 and they exhibited different effects.

I would as I said above re-create this at the location I showed above. I tried to merge it but the feature is not working properly and I didn't want to loose your post.

Thanks, I re-posted it where you suggested. But, no one has answered. Is that because the moderator is in Germany?
Re: 4.1.18 has strange artifacts on Win 7 Aero
Do you have triple-buffering enabled in your card's 3D settings? If so, disabling it should help.

No, Triple Buffering is set to "Off".

Re: 4.1.18 has strange artifacts on Win 7 Aero
I'm having the same issues. I'm using openSUSE 12.2 RC2 with the latest ati drivers available. My card is an AMD Radeon HD 6520G, I have 6 GB RAM and using a Toshiba Satelliite L775D-S7206. It works fine with Aero off. I'm using the WDDM drivers (and did answer NO on setting up Basic Direct3D when installing VBox Guest Additions. It probably doesn't matter, but my Windows Experience Rating on Aero is 2.9.
