I have an Emulex dual port 10g card on a Ubuntu host. I have a Win 2008 R2 Enterprise guest and am trying to bridge both the 10g NIC's to this guest. In the network settings for the VM guest there is no option for 10g drivers.

Re: 10G NIC Bridge on 2008 R2
Just use the standard 1Gbit virtual network adapter in the guest. The nominal speed of the virtual adapter is not relevant, it will work as fast as Vbox is able to transfer the data.

Re: 10G NIC Bridge on 2008 R2
So if I were to use the guest server as a ftp server attached to a storage array via iscsi only using 10g connections, even though the Win server says the nics are 1g, the vbox will go as fast as the network speed. The operating system wont cap the speeds at 1g because thats what it believes its NIC speed is?
