How do i enable passthrough on host OS ?

Post by jimak06 »

Hello !

I cannot play DVDs on guest OS because Passthrough is not enable on host OS. I have the lastest version of VirtualBox.

Any suggestions ?

This is greatly appreciated.

Hello !

The GUI option is not available. It is greyed out. I have to do it through the command prompt, unless there is another way.

You have to select the CD/DVD drive in the Storage section of the VM settings. At that point "Passthrough" should be visible on the right. The option should be enabled when the virtual CD/DVD drive is associated with a physical drive on the host.
