Cannot Get Internet Access

Post by Onegamemore »

Hi,

I have a Windows 7 partition on my MacBook Pro (Snow leopard), but for some reason I cannot get the internet to work on it I have installed the guest permissions.

Any help would be kindly received, as I have no clue what I have done incorrectly.

Thanks Chris

Cable Connected is not ticked
This means that (as on metal) the cable is not connected, thus no network.

Just played with some of the network settings and it works now ;) thank you very much for pointing out that it needed to be ticked.

Post the results of the following from the host:

Code: Select all

VBoxManage list bridgedifs
Also the results of:

Code: Select all

VBoxManage showvminfo <VM Name> --details
Replace <VM Name> with the actual name of the VM. Use "" if the name has a space in it.

Note: see you have fixed it. No need to post the information now.
