The server running virtualbox locked up and I had to power cycle it. The virtual machine was running and had a snapshot. Now when I try to run the virtual machine I get the following error:
Failed to open virtual machine located in /Users/bcox/VirtualBox VMs/CentosMin_Web/CentosMin_Web.vbox.

Re: Failed to open virtual machine...
You might get it back by looking in the guests folder for a file *.vbox-prev where * is the name of the guest.
Backup this file and rename it to *.vbox after removing/renaming the original *.vbox

Re: Failed to open virtual machine...
Thanks for your response. I tried your suggestion but didn't have any luck. I ended up using clonevdi to consolidate the snapshot and created a new VM to use the cloned vdi and voila:

I lost the ability to resort back to the old vm state but I'll take this over losing the whole VM any day.
