USB can not see

I have installed VB and also the extensions ( I Believe)

Installation went fine no Problems and the Guest OS is Windows XP and again no problems installing

HOST OS is 10.6.8
Guest OS is Windows XP and all the patches are applied

I am a beginner to this Visualisation world . I have only one application I want to load and it is on a USB stick

I put the USB stick into the Laptop and and The HOST OS sees it, but not the windows OS. What do I need to do to see it in the XP system I have looked around the setting s and checked the forum and nothing obvious crops up .

The version VB is 4.1.16 and its equivalent Extensions.

Feel I have to do some thing in the VB setup menus to find the USB port but not sure what.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Open the User Manual. Navigate to page 53, 3.10 USB Support, and read it (especially the details on how to create a filter).

You're in the wrong place, too - this forum about virtualization, not visualization.

Thank you

No success with USB filters and the documentation

Decided to Deleted Virtual Box and Go Back to Bootcamp as this has always worked for me

Thank you and Good bye

Have you tried unmounting (but not unplugging) the device in OSXs Disk Utility?

The drive can't be mounted in two places at once. Unmount in OSX and it should appear in the VM under XP.

I know this is late to the party but it might help someone else.

Wow ... sarcasm in a forum for "support". That too straight up from Oracle. Neither professional nor a good business practice. I think it's very evident what his question related to.

You forget that these forums are manned by volunteer end-users like you.
Patience is difficult when the same questions/problems are repeated almost daily.
