VMDK

hi guys,

for the first time i exported a VM. Indeed, i noticed that my VDI became a VMDK
It seems just as functional as a VDI ?
i tried to imported again and it worked OK
does the VMDK format has any downside i should be aware off ?

VMDK is not supported by a few functions, e.g. "VBoxManage modifyhd --resize". Otherwise it's a fine choice - but I would still stick to VDI.

The main one to avoid is VHD.
