Bridged Networking is not working...

Hello,
I'm trying to use bridged networking in a virtual machine.
My host os is Win7 x64
My guest os is Backtrack R2 x86
I've already changed the maxfilters, and reinstalled virtualbox (4.1.16).
When i try to open a site in backtrack it just doesn't load.
I don't know what to try next, if i have to tell you any settings or more precise specs, just tell me what and where i can find it :)

Thanks, Cyragia

I would try searching this site for recent discussions of Backtrack or "bridged networking", since I'm getting a distinct sense of deja vu...

I have the same problem - the DHCP offer does not get through the bridged network on VBox and DNS/Gateway is not assigned properly. This problem started around version 4.1

The first thing I would check would be the driver for your NIC in the host OS. If it does not work happily with the VBox bridge filter driver you will have problems with bridged networking. I have bridged networking on multiple systems with no problems, so it must be something specific in your setup.

that would be really weird, since I observe the same on various platforms (two laptops, 3 different PCs) with various NIC chipsets (from Atheros, Realtec, Broadcom) which are popular on the market. It is hard to imagine there are driver problems with them. Is there any way to verify where the problem lies?
