So, the previous Windows 8 seed seemed to work fine with 4.1.16.

The Preview Release (at least the 32-bit version so far) seems to bog down once the VB tools are installed using the default Windows 8 settings.

Any tips/tricks with the Win8 PR?

I just installed the new release. Working fine here.
