Extremely slow internet with pages timing out in guests

Extremely slow internet with pages timing out in guests
I have been having an issue with all guests (windows & Linux) with extremely slow internet inside the guests with pages frequently timing out!!! the host machine does not have that problem!!! been going on for 3 days now!!!
