Compatible mass storage drivers

I am using VirtualBox to test Windows 7 x64 deployments using WinPE as a way to boot into the deployment environment. I am trying to determine what mass storage drivers are compatible with the SATA controller under a Windows 7 x64 guest OS. I've seen suggestions older versions of the Intel Matrix Storage drivers might work but I still haven't been able to find something which works. Using the IDE controller works well but I'd prefer to use SATA for the performance and to better mimic a physical box. Thanks in advance.
