Hi,

On a Mac OS host, the \ key types a # in the terminal on Windows XP. I have pushed every key on my keyboard and cannot find a backslash. Any idea how I might type it in the command line on XP (cannot just paste). Thanks.

Without also disclosing what physical keyboard layout you have, which keyboard layout is selected on the host, and which layout is selected in the guest, this is an unanswerable question.

Also, I'm not sure what you mean by a "Windows terminal". Is it the Windows command prompt or some actual terminal program? If it's the Windows command prompt, you may be able to get a backslash by holding down the Alt key, typing 92 on the numpad, and releasing Alt again. That should work regardless of the keyboard layout.
